Become a Trustee

Alwoodley 2030 has just entered an exciting new chapter. After three years being supported by Climate Action Leeds, we’re now a fully independent registered charity, and we’re looking for people who want to help shape what comes next.

If you care about helping the people of Alwoodley look after nature and the environment, and you have any of the experience or a keen interest in one or two of the areas listed below, we’d love to hear from you.

Please send a short expression of interest to info@alwoodley2030.org if you have experience or an interest in:

      • Supporting a new charity as it grows
      • Fundraising, sponsorship, or grant‑writing
      • Developing strategy, membership models, or a theory of change
      • Staffing or HR
      • Safeguarding
      • General small‑charity trustee experience
      • Financial management

Trustees meet once a month in the evening; each session lasts about 2 hours and there is an expectation that you prepare for that meeting by reading and considering papers sent to you with the agenda. There may be some light involvement between meetings if unexpected opportunities or issues arise. You’ll be joining a friendly, highly committed group who want to build a greener, more connected future for Alwoodley, and your perspective could make a real difference.
