Incredible Edible Alwoodley

In Spring 2024, with a lot of help from Incredible Edible Leeds, our newly-formed Incredible Edible Alwoodley group built their first planter on King Lane.

       

 

 

 

 

 

Since then, they’ve bought tools, built an additional 2 planters on King Lane, and have helped out building planters for neighbouring Incredible Edible groups in Moortown and Shadwell.

 

As well as planters, they have an interest in composting, with a community compost bin (making both compost and fertiliser liquid) and also helping out a local school Alwoodley Primary School with maintaining their own compost bin.

           

Together with Incredible Edible Moortown, they run events at Moor Allerton Library for children, doing seed planting activities and stocking the seed library, where people can help themselves to seeds and leave any spares they have for others.
