Autumn Woodland Nature Corridor

Supporting Woodland creatures with trees, hedges and fruit bushes in your gardens

Please see our Subsidised Trees form to order goodies for your gardens.

As part of our work to develop much needed nature corridors connecting different pockets of habitat across Alwoodley, our autumn focus is all about supporting connectivity for woodland creatures such as; brown long eared Bats, hedgehogs, toads, spotted woodpeckers and song thrushes

Our interactive map https://alwoodley2030.org/nature-corridors/ shows the important corridors our ecologist identified, and the things we can do to help. Even if your house isn’t on a specific corridor, it doesn’t make it any less beneficial to act – after all hedgehogs can’t read maps.

We are offering a huge list of Garden trees, hedge plants, fruit trees and fruit bushes for residents of Alwoodley to plant in their gardens. Alwoodley 2030 will subsidise these to enable minimal pricing for people.

If you would like to be involved in our woodland corridors gang then please join our nature corridors WhatsApp group.

We’re so grateful to the families of Barbara Lewis and Christine Hall, who have honoured their loved ones by donating funds to planting trees across Alwoodley. These legacies have made it possible for us to greatly expand woodland connectivity throughout Alwoodley and we can’t wait to report back on how many trees we got into the ground this season. Your contributions towards these subsidised trees will keep our tree fund growing so we can continue this work for years to come.
